My Working Life

“Bondservants, be obedient to those who are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in sincerity of heart, as to Christ; not with eyeservice, as men–pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart, with goodwill doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men.” Eph 6:5-7

What does this mean in practical terms?

As an employee I must work honestly and to the best of my ability, doing my work as if it were for Christ, even if my employer is unfair. Eph 6:5-7; Col 3:22-24; 1Tim 6:1-2; 1Pet 2:18
As a ‘servant’ I am at liberty to leave my employer if I choose to do so. 1Cor 6:2
My service as an employee should be even more diligent and not less diligent, if my employer is a brother in Christ. 1Tim 6:2
As an employer it is my duty to be fair, just and considerate towards my employees. Eph 6:9; Col 4:1
I will be honest and not take anything from my employer without permission. Titus 2:9-13
